hang out with you.

We did act pretty silly........

But we also made a

pretty serious cheesecake!

Starting The Year Off Right!!!! 1/1/2008

I have a tradition

on New Year’s Day;

I always hike

to start the year off right.

Well, I didn’t

really hike this year,

I walked with a very

nice group of people called

the Volkesmarchers

( http://www.ava.org/ ).

It is a world wide club,

you may have heard of them.

It is a club with a lot of rules. You must walk designated 5k and 10k walks, you have a card you stamp for each walk and you receive points and awards for the miles you walk. These designated walks are all over the world and there are a lot of them.

Some people actually travel the world and walk as many as they can.

I don’t care much for stamping cards, following rules and getting awards, but the people are very nice and they are always ready for a walk.

Today they were walking a 10k in Scottsdale, so I went and had a good time.

Here are a few pictures I took along the way..... it was a very beautiful day!!!
